This version is recorded against your account when you give consent, so a later change to this page cannot silently restate what you agreed to.

Introduction

Wonder Labs Technology Limited ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our WonderBuddy application and related services (collectively, the "Service").

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access the Service.

Information We Collect

Personal Information

We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you:

  • Register for an account
  • Sign up for our newsletter
  • Request customer support
  • Participate in promotions, contests, or surveys

The personal information we collect may include:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Billing information (if applicable)
  • Age/date of birth (for age verification)

Information About Children

WonderBuddy is designed for children aged 3 to 10, used under the supervision of a parent or guardian. Children never create or hold an account of their own: the account belongs to an adult, and each child is a profile within it.

We collect the following about a child, all of it entered or created by the family:

  • First name or nickname, chosen by the parent
  • Birth month and year, used to adapt the difficulty of content (we do not collect the day)
  • Learning progress and activity within the app
  • Photos the child takes inside the app, in the Explore feature
  • Drawings the child creates in the app
  • Voice recordings, when the child speaks to Buddy or records narration

Parental Consent

Before an account can be created, the adult registering must confirm that they are the child’s parent or guardian and agree to this policy. The notice shown at that moment states what we collect and why; it is not hidden behind a link.

We record when consent was given, how it was obtained, and the version of this policy that was shown, against the email address on the account.

You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account, which erases everything described in this policy. See Your Rights below.

We are a small team and we describe our practices plainly rather than making blanket statements of compliance. If you believe our handling of your child’s information falls short of your local law, please write to us at support@wonderbuddy.ai and we will respond.

Automatically Collected Information

When you access our Service, we may automatically collect certain information about your device, including:

  • Device type and operating system
  • IP address
  • Browser type
  • Usage patterns and learning analytics
  • Time spent on various activities

How We Use Your Information

We may use the information we collect for various purposes, including to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our Service
  • Personalize learning experiences
  • Process transactions
  • Send you technical notices, updates, and support messages
  • Respond to your comments, questions, and requests
  • Monitor and analyze usage patterns and trends
  • Develop new features and services
  • Prevent fraudulent transactions and monitor against theft

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising. There is no advertising in WonderBuddy.

To make the app work we pass some information to companies that process it strictly on our behalf:

  • AI model providers. When your child talks to Buddy, explores a photo, or creates a drawing, that content is sent to the model provider that produces the response. They act on our instructions only, and are not permitted to use your child’s content for their own purposes, including training their models.
  • Hosting and infrastructure. Our database, file storage and servers are operated by infrastructure providers who store the data on our behalf.
  • Error monitoring. When the app fails we receive diagnostic reports to help us fix it.

Beyond those processors, we may disclose information only:

  • For Legal Purposes: where we are required to by law.
  • For Business Transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case the acquirer remains bound by this policy or must obtain fresh consent.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, please note that no electronic transmission or storage of information can be entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

Two of these you can exercise yourself, immediately, without asking us. Both live in Parental Controls → Your data in the app, behind the parent gate.

  • Download everything. Produces a file containing your account details, every child profile, their discoveries, learning progress and settings, together with links to download every photo, drawing and recording.
  • Delete everything. Permanently erases your account, every child profile, all of their data, and every file they have created. This also deletes your sign-in identity, so it is not recoverable and we cannot reverse it for you.

Deletion is immediate rather than a request we queue, and it covers stored photos and recordings as well as database records.

You also have the right to correct information, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. Child profile details can be edited in the app; for anything else, write to us at support@wonderbuddy.ai.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep your family’s information only while your account exists.

  • While the account is active: profiles, discoveries, learning progress, artwork and recordings are kept so your child can return to them.
  • When you delete the account: everything is erased at the moment you confirm, including stored files. Nothing is retained for a grace period.
  • Deleting a single item: a discovery or drawing removed in the app is deleted straight away.
  • Backups and logs: operational backups and error reports may retain fragments for a short period before rotating out. We do not use them to reconstruct a deleted account.

We do not keep children’s information indefinitely, and we do not retain it after it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for.

International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to, and maintained on, computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. If you are located outside of these regions and provide information to us, we will transfer the information to these regions and process it there.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
